The capacity building of the teachers is one of the core activity of the Good Earth Education Trust. Four teachers were send to Loreto Day School at Sealdah, Kolkata, namely Mrs. Ersilia Basumatary, Ms. Kamla Lama, Mrs. Nilamati Kerketta and Mrs. Teresa Narzary. The training programme was from 27th January to 7th February 2012. In the training the teachers were taught to make Nature the best source of learning and make learning more practical for the children i.e. learning by doing. The non-conventional method of teaching has made the learning process more participatory by the students and it is more effective. There was ample opportunity for the teachers to interact with the other teachers trainees from different places and also to interact with the students of Loreto Day School. The emphasis is given at the formation level to create a sound and strong formation of the students with the value based education.
